Our equipment setup can be tailored to nearly any on-location recording situation. Here, however, is a short list of the types of recordings we generally produce:

  • Orchestras
  • Wind Ensembles
  • Jazz Bands (duos to big bands)
  • Pop/Rock/Metal Groups
  • Solo Artists
  • Live Events

How We Record It

Live 24-bit Digital Stereo Recording

  • The standard format for recording large-ensemble concerts and live musical events.
  • 2 condenser microphones are used in a stereo configuration
  • A good choice for symphonic or choral groups, wind bands
  • This setup allows for general editing / splicing in post production.

Live 24-bit Digital Multi-Track Recording

  • For live situations with more complex mixing needs
  • Multiple condenser / dynamic microphones are used
  • A good choice for rock groups, quartets, groups with soloists
  • This setup allows for more advanced individual editing in post production.

Studio Recording

  • For maximum control over your project
  • Multiple microphones are used
  • A good choice for small group recordings destined for retail
  • This setup allows for versatile editing and mixing in a controlled environment.
